This program intends to inculcate the value of sound mental health and importance of physical fitness among the students who enter the premises of college education. According to directives of Students Health Service Scheme University of Pune, medical check up is compulsory for the first year students of all University courses and students living at college hostels. A senior college teacher is appointed as guardian to look after the proceedings of this scheme. A committee of teachers is organized to assist him in the sound implementation of this scheme. Two medical officers are nominated by college for medical check up of boys and girls students. Medical examination of all the first year students of under- graduate and Post-graduate levels is completed before 31st October every year. The Career Guidance and Placement Cell is active for the last fifteen years. It is monitored by two faculty members, who have been assigned the additional work of placement officers. The campus interviews are organized as per the placement offers by business firms. The cell also contacts industry personnels to invite them for campus interviews. The eligibility norms and selection procedure are communicated to students well in advance. The campus interviews are so carefully planned that the maximum number of students would be placed. Before the campus interviews, students are guided on interview skills, group discussions, written tests etc. In addition, the local business firms and professionals require employees for office work and computer operations. Guidance and Counseling Centre Goals and Objectives of Center: Guidance and counseling centre were establish in 1990 and has been running successfully since its inception. Centre is rendering the services to students as well as outreached people who have psychological problems. During the last two decades the centre was autonomous but since 2008 the centre is affiliated to Human Education Society, (HES) Pune. The goal of HES to run short counseling courses as well as organize counseling camps for the clients.
